Tang Da Ren Soup

Love the art direction in this print campaign for Tang Da Ren Soup.  Makes me want to get f*ed up and go play cards with scary looking weirdos drinking cough syrup...

Love can be complicated...

A simple yet very addicting ad from Pringles! This ad received tons of great press and won a gold Cyber Lions award at Cannes this summer. The ad reveals a humorous story with each (seemingly endless) click and doesn’t even navigate to the Pringles site.  A nice FMCG brand reminder, which we don't often see done very well.

Click here to check it out.

Gold (?!?) Lions

I love this!

Belgian ad agency Boondoggle recently picked up 5 Gold Lions at Cannes and produced this viral video.

I heard that Cannes charges recipients of Gold Lions about 800 euros for an extra ‘copy’ - so it’s interesting to see that their street value is squat … talk about branding…!

Brand Tags

For any of you in marketing, check out Brand Tags.  We use these in a lot of research on brands for pitches and general ‘real’ feedback.

There is also a UK version.

Brand tags are a “collective experiment in brand perception” whereby you’re presented with a logo and asked to enter the first word that comes to mind.  This is a very nice way of gaging where brands stand in consumers’ minds.

Yet another Twitter app - Historical Tweets - gives us an idea of what people would have been tweeting if le Twitter was around tens or hundreds of years ago…

Billboard Wars

Audi had put up an ad for the new A4 with copy reading, “Your move BMW”.  Juggernaut Advertising, an independent American ad agency, responded to Audi through a local Santa Monica BMW dealership by engaging the A4 ad in a billboard game of chess.  One word is all it took: “checkmate”.

This is a wonderful example of how brilliant media planning and creative can work together to produce an exceptional result.
